Limitation—it's a sin
The word "sin" may suggest a number of things—adultery, immorality, indulgence of false appetites, criminal actions, to name a few. And rightly so. But, did you ever think of limitation as sin?
In a thought-provoking and enlightening statement Mrs. Eddy reveals an added dimension to this often-heard word: "The first iniquitous manifestation of sin was a finity." Retrospection and Introspection, p. 67;
Finity. Limitation. The very opposite of the infinite All we call God. Judging from today's world, one might easily accept limits as inescapable realities; all too many necessities seem to be in restricted supply. But as we begin to classify insufficiency as an illegitimate barrier to our full expression of Life's abundance—as sin—we can deal with it effectively from the prayerful position of Christly dominion over sin.
