Dominion over the decades
Decades did not daunt Moses.
The Bible tells us that at eighty he received the Ten Commandments from God and gave them to the people. He led them for many years after that, further proving his superiority to aging. "Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated." Deut. 34:7;
We need not dread either the human, fallible concept of life or reaching an anniversary signifying that another decade has gone by. By denying mortality and daily realizing ourselves to be spiritual, we purify our consciousness and protect it from the material claims and standards humanity has mistakenly set up as valid. God created man, knowing only good. This is what we really are and, knowing this, we can refuse to wallow in the mortal claims of aging.
