One day I was playing at the park with my friend
One day I was playing at the park with my friend. My friend and some other boys were throwing rocks at each other. My friend started running, and I was with him. Then one of the other boys threw a rock, and it hit me in the back of the head. Even though my head was bleeding, I did not get mad at the boy who threw the rock.
When I got home, my mom helped me clean up my head while we prayed together. We worked with the truth that Mrs. Eddy gives us in Science and Health that "accidents are unknown to God."Editors' Note: Mrs. Eddy writes ( p. 424 ): "Accidents are unknown to God, or immortal Mind, and we must leave the mortal basis of belief and unite with the one Mind, in order to change the notion of chance to the proper sense of God's unerring direction and thus bring out harmony. "Under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection." We also worked with the idea that forgiveness helps to bring about healing.
The next day, when the Christian Science nurse came to see me, my head was healed.
