Woman healed physically and emotionally after attack by intruder

I'm a woman who is well into what is called the age of senior citizenry. All my life I've lived Christian Science to the best of my ability. As a result, my physical capacities are not much different than they were when I was a teen-ager, and I find that my mental activity is even sharper.

I have learned that the expression of spiritual qualities is a divine right that comes to man directly from God. Nervous breakdown, a stroke that left me in a mental blank, a tropical disease that paralyzed my whole body, and many other discordant conditions, all have been healed through Christian Science treatment. When these conditions incapacitated me, I was profoundly grateful that I had this Science and an understanding of its immortal Principle to restore me to my former healthful condition. Some of these victories were accomplished with the help of a Christian Science practitioner, but in most cases my own study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings won my release. In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy says (p. 296),"Either here or hereafter, suffering or Science must destroy all illusions regarding life and mind, and regenerate material sense and self." Thus we progress in our understanding of divine Science.

After living twelve years of comparative ease in a foreign country, I found it necessary to return to the United States, where I had no home, no means of transportation, no income, no employment, and no bank account. I was also in the throes of a crippling illness.
