Dispelling impure suggestions heals facial growth

[Original in German]

Several years ago, a growth began to form under one eye. After some time, it was quite noticeable. Relatives and acquaintances tried to persuade me to have the blemish surgically removed, but I refused. Instead, I was determined to rely on God for healing.

The Bible tells us (Heb. 4:12), "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." In my daily prayer I acknowledged God's spiritual creation as flawless, beautiful, and pure. In this perfect being, which includes man in the divine likeness, there are no malformations or abnormalities. I held unshakably to these truths.

One day this sentence from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy came to mind (p. 114): "Christian Science explains all cause and effect as mental, not physical." Soon the mental cause of the physical difficulty became clear to me. For quite some time I had been harboring impure thoughts toward a certain individual. After recognizing this, I corrected my thinking. Later on, over a period of time, changes took place in the growth until only slight evidence of it under the eye was noticeable.
