Invalid? Not valid!
When we see an invalid, do we allow pity, fear, or a desire to escape to fill our thought? If so, we are in effect validating the picture of ailing humanity by accepting it as real.
But ailing can't be a true state, because, like all mortal states, it's unreal. God fashions man in His own likeness, true to every aspect of His perfection. The material body is the imperfect negative of the perfect positive—it is only the not valid, temporal counterfeit of perfect, spiritual man. No matter how desperate a condition would claim to be, it is neither hopeless nor permanent.
Christian Science shows us that healing can be and often is as quick as changing one's thought or turning from obsession with the physical to the knowing acceptance of the spiritual reality of one's true nature. More and more the medical profession is coming to recognize the sanative effect of positive thinking. Such thinking is better than negative, morbid thought. But far greater strides can be achieved by applying the truths of being as revealed by Mrs. Eddy in Christian Science, which explains the healing works of Christ Jesus!
