Reaching our children
What did I do wrong? Sometimes parents react in this manner when they realize their children aren't living up to their expectations and perhaps have rejected the moral standards of the home.
Evil, which Paul calls "the carnal mind" and "enmity against God," Rom. 8:7; seems particularly aggressive today in its attempts to destroy the morals of people, including our young. It would make them slaves to the physical senses through the use of drugs and alcohol or through promiscuous behavior.
Parents can stop harshly reproaching themselves or others and humbly turn to God in prayer. He has given us the answer to all human problems in the Bible and in the textbook of Christian Science, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy. Through their study we learn that in reality God is the only Mind, the only power, the All-in-all, and that there actually is no evil mind to influence or control us.
