Communion with God: How it relates to healing
People the world over hunger for greater closeness to God, more direct communion with Him, increased spiritual understanding—all of which bring healing.
Everyone may know and be healed through the Father's unlimited love. This highest communication is the Christ, a flowing in of spiritual light, flooding human consciousness with truth and revealing the true idea of being. Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered and founded Christian Science, declares, "Christ is the true idea voicing good, the divine message from God to men speaking to the human consciousness." Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 332;
Our part in this Christly communication is hearing and responding—doing. To hear, we must listen. And listening means yielding to divine Mind, refusing to heed suggestions that claim we have a mind or intelligence apart from this Mind. Since God's angel messages cannot enter a consciousness not open to receive them, self-discipline is needed to establish the required quietness.
