Fear—faced and outfaced
A friend, an airline pilot, says he regularly undergoes training in a flight simulator programmed to reproduce various emergency situations. He experiences similar reactions—quickened pulse and so on—that an emergency in an actual flight might bring about.
All anxiety-inducing situations are, according to absolute Christian Science, essentially unauthentic—in fact, unreal.
Fear faced with scientific truth can be outfaced. Confronting threats and menaces with the pure truth of God's omnipotence and man's flawlessness, we progressively defeat fear. We prove it has no innate authority to resist divine Love or to delay Love's operations.
