Caring about the world

Can we contribute to an atmosphere in which world problems can be seen more objectively and less passionately—a friendly atmosphere in which fair solutions may emerge, be recognized and adopted? The swirling sea of world conditions suggests that we can't, that there are just too many overwhelming problems. But Christian Science, mankind's best friend, says the opposite.

This revolutionary Science turns negative thinking around and teaches that the more spiritual our view of the world, the more harmony we lend to the common view. We can't simply dismiss the world and its problems as beyond us. We are accountable for what we think about the world, whether positive or negative, caring or ignoring.

Through a very caring woman, Mary Baker Eddy, came the discovery of Christian Science, stating in unequivocal terms, "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all." Science and Health, p. 468; Not only did Mrs. Eddy write out her discovery in Science and Health; in page after page she leads us in the practical application of Science to human needs. This application is healing prayer, or scientific prayer, because it is based on spiritual law and divine logic and filled with fervent caring for God and man.
