On the mountaintop
It was midafternoon on a clear, crisp Saturday when Benny headed back into the mountains of Pennsylvania. He had been hiking and exploring in the woods close to his grandparents' cottage for as long as he could remember. Now that he was a teen-ager he considered himself a real expert. Today he decided to explore some new territory.
The countryside was so beautiful that Benny continued to walk without paying much attention to direction. Suddenly, nothing looked familiar. He picked up his pace. Then he started running deeper and deeper into the woods. After a few minutes he realized he shouldn't let fear take over. He stopped and sat down on a rock.
Benny began to think of spiritual truths. He was a student in the Christian Science Sunday School, and he knew that the best way to begin handling any problem was to get rid of fear by feeling God's ever-presence.
