The true concept of man checks crime
One evening I heard a TV commentator talking about Tokyo policemen and the low crime rate in Japan. His explanation was that the population in Japan is mostly native, and the people, being proud of their heritage, do not wish to dishonor it.
Immediately the biblical questions came to my thought, "Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us?" Mid. 2:10; As I thought about this, I realized that God's heritage is native to all, no matter what race we represent. This God-bestowed heritage is the only real background or history we have. Each individual's real selfhood is inherently Godlike and upright.
In pondering those thoughts from Malachi, I realized that man's true nature as a child of God is to express the qualities of God—love, justice, integrity. To truly understand man's real nature, we must first understand God's nature. In Christian Science, God is understood as divine Spirit, Love, Truth. Man, therefore, must express spiritual qualities.
