Where action is
Everything that really happens, happens because God causes it to happen. That which doesn't occur as a result of God's will has no essential reality. True action doesn't take place in time or space. It happens in Spirit, not in matter. It is spiritual.
We can see, through Christian Science, the spiritual truth of action and begin subordinating a merely superficial view. To lay aside the sense of action that comes to us through the physical faculties is healing and de-restricting.
In thinking of material actions we might use words like muscles, inertia, resistance, exhaustion, and so on. Christian Science gives us a new perception. The action that is in Spirit is painless and vital. It can't be depleted. Good is omniactive, is all the action there is. And divine action is always good. The action we think is in matter can be tiring or painful. "It hurts when I move," someone says. Or, "I'm so tired I can't get up."
