"It works... it really works"
As Frank burst into the room, he practically shouted, "It works...it really works."
Mrs. Byram, who was tutoring him, looked puzzled, so he explained. He had been working on a belt-driven lathe, shaping legs for a footstool, at his home workshop when his finger became tangled in the belt on the motor. He turned the switch off immediately but could not get his finger untangled from the belt. He tried to break the belt apart with a chisel, but it wasn't sharp enough, and he couldn't reach any other tool.
He was alone with no thing and no one to help. Then he remembered that when he had asked his tutor about God she had told him God is an ever-present good power, always right where you need Him. He hadn't really believed her, even though she had told him about how God had helped her.
