The restful struggle
"It's been a tough day! What a struggle! I'm bushed! I just want to collapse into a chair and relax." Sound familiar? Have some of us felt this way after struggling through a long day of business problems, school assignments, or household chores?
Christian Science shows us that such exhaustion does not need to be tolerated. When we feel we're on our last leg, we might simply ask ourselves, "What have I been struggling for?" In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes, "The struggle for Truth makes one strong instead of weak, resting instead of wearying one." Science and Health, p. 426;
When we've been worn out by tasks, we need to change our concept of our activity. At the end of a day in which we have struggled for Truth we find ourselves calm and continuing to express the unlimited vitality of infinite Life.
