Giving service rather than getting a job
Good jobs sometimes seem hard to come by. But the assumption that we can't find desirable employment can be proved false through Christian Science.
If our prime concern is simply to get a job as a means of support, self-expression, passing time, or whatever, the situation might indeed look bleak. But is this really what we're after?
You and I are actually spiritual ideas of the one infinite Mind, or Principle, of all real existence. Each individual idea is necessary to the completeness of the totality of being. Because each idea of God makes its own unique contribution to the whole of creation, there are no useless ideas in divine Mind. The various occupations we become involved in extend to us opportunities to become more familiar with this truth and to yield to its expansive influence on our lives.
