When I went away to camp last summer, that was my first...

When I went away to camp last summer, that was my first time away from home for such a long time. It was hard at first because I missed my home, family, and friends. I began to think about God. I knew that God was with me, so I should not feel alone or lonesome. With God I was complete and had everything I needed. I could not lack anything, and that meant family and home. Home is spiritual, and I was always in my home. I knew that a change of location did not mean leaving my home.

In the Bible we read Christ Jesus' words in John (8:32), "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." I knew the truth was that God and I were inseparable, and that made me free to feel comfortable and at home in camp. In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 400), "By lifting thought above error, or disease, and contending persistently for truth, you destroy error." I had lifted my thought above the error that was trying to make me believe I was lonesome.

I am very grateful that I attend a Christian Science Sunday School and am learning to use my understanding of Christian Science. Mary Baker Eddy discovered Christian Science and gave it to the world. It makes me happy to know that everyone in the world can lift his thought above error as I did, and this will destroy error.
