The ideal is attainable

Ideals are sometimes thought to be abstract and unattainable, but Christian Science shows that the ideal is demonstrable and, in fact, is the real. The ideal, in its ultimate sense, stands for perfection. Christian Science identifies perfection with God and His idea, spiritual man.

Ideals should elevate the aspirations and achievements of those who are willing to be drawn higher. People think of the ideal home, the perfect friend, the ultimate job, and their ideals are worthy and realizable in the degree these represent the good of God, ever-present Love.

The true source of the ideal, or perfect, must be God, since perfection is forever the condition of divinity. Imperfection is not part of divinity and therefore is not part of reality. God is infinite Truth, His omnipresence embracing His good creation. Is there, then, any possible place for, or reality in, ideals that can't be identified with the perfection of divine Spirit? Christian Science enables us to prove that there is not.
