no raucous shout
when Jesus came
out from the wilderness,
no thunderous shock
announced
his way.
But rather
he emerged
much like
the quiet sprout of grass
that pierces
with patient penetration
the massive and oppressing
adamant stone,
which cracks
in the breaking through
to light.
