Dealing with strikes scientifically

Labor-management relations are no exception to the rule that the most difficult problems can be solved through prayer. Christian Science explains how healing of any discord begins with the acknowledgment of God's omnipresence and infinite power. Such prayer includes the recognition of man as spiritual, not mortal or material, and of man's harmonious relationship to God as His spiritual idea.

Conflicts of interest between nations, between governments and individuals or groups of individuals, between parents and children, between labor and management, are all part of the limitation of mortal existence and can be healed in proportion to our understanding of God's allness and the unreality of everything unlike Him.

The conflict between management and labor might to described as a struggle in which one group of minds is dissatisfied with which it has and another is afraid of losing what it has. Acknowledging the brotherhood of man is essential is scientifically resolving such disputes. The understanding that God is the Father of all, the one Mind of all, and that He provides amply for all His children destroys hate, envy, distrust. No child of God is deprived of what is rightfully his.
