A number of years ago, after material medicine had failed, Christian Science brought healing into our home.
When our little daughter was three months old, she had a severe cold. For some time we tried to cure her with the help of baby specialists, but she continued to grow worse and had a high fever. It was then that we decided to hospitalize her. There she was examined, X-rayed, and the case diagnosed as tuberculosis. We were told that a baby as sick as she was might not recover.
I can never be grateful enough for the friend who asked me to try Christian Science. He introduced me to a practitioner. The baby was still in the hospital, and I received a telephone call that she was dying. I decided to take her home. When I arrived at the hospital, she showed little sign of life. I called the Christian Science practitioner and told her what they had said. Her response was full of confidence in God's power to care for His own child. This helped dispel my fear. She had begun to pray for the baby.
