There was a complete about-face in my life after I learned of Christian Science, and that God is Love and never made any form of sickness, sin, or death. I had been a delicate child, both mentally and physically. Along with frequent sickness, I would faint at the least disturbance.
After I learned of Science and asked a practitioner for treatment, it was the beginning of a happier, better life. The practitioner, with sweet patience yet positive firmness, urged me to obey Mrs. Eddy's rule (Science and Health, p. 261), "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts." (This reminder still comes to me when I find myself tempted by sickness, fatigue, or irritation.)
