God's child naturally
Because man is naturally the child of God, he is the direct recipient of God's goodness and love. Through the study of Christian Science, we gain a whole new concept of ourselves as children of God. We learn of our true identity, our relationship to Him. We learn that we are not mortal but immortal, not material but spiritual.
Even so, each of us must accept the responsibility of proving this truth in his or her own life. Becoming better acquainted with God, recognizing His ability as supreme, and accepting Him as our Father help us to comprehend our true status.
Principle, Soul, Mind, Spirit, Truth, Life, Love: These are the synonyms Mrs. Eddy uses to define God. God is the divine source of all being, our creator, our heavenly Father; and we, in our true and only being, are His offspring.
