No nature apart from the divine

Most people believe they are physical persons who were born of human parents with a selfhood apart from God. Yet Jesus made himself known as the Son of God and said to the multitudes and to his disciples, "Call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." Matt. 23:9; Jesus knew and lived his divine nature, the Christ, his God-given spiritual selfhood, and was known as Christ Jesus.

This material nature strives to tip the beam against the spiritual nature; for the flesh strives against Spirit,—against whatever or whoever opposes evil,—and weighs mightily in the scale against man's high destiny."Mis, p. 119;
