Making Spiritual Treasures Our Own

Merely to know about the healing and saving resources of truth is not enough. We must make them our own. Jesus urged, "Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven."^{Matt. 6:20;} And Mrs. Eddy describes these treasures: "More than regal is the majesty of the meekness of the Christ-principle; and its might is the ever-flowing tides of truth that sweep the universe, create and govern it; and its radiant stores of knowledge are the mysteries of exhaustless being." Then she adds significantly, "Seek ye these till you make their treasures yours."^{The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 149.}

Christian Science shows that heavenly treasures are simply spiritual ideas. When we accept them by listening to God, studying Scripture and its scientific interpretation, we put on power to drive evil out of our lives.

God being the only Mind, there are no true ideas except His. Any thought, any view of man or the universe, that is less than perfect is untrue because it contradicts the perfect creator's handiwork.
