[Original in German]

"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well" (Ps. 139:14).

In my youth a dear acquaintance told me of Christian Science. At that time I was suffering from a stubborn case of eczema on my hands and forearms. Help and advice from various medical doctors, as well as a hospital stay of several weeks, did not bring about any healing. Finally I went to a Christian Science practitioner and requested prayerful treatment. I began to read Christian Science literature in order to recognize the good, and God's spiritual creation. Mrs. Eddy writes (Science and Health, p. 241), "The Bible teaches transformation of the body by the renewal of Spirit." And further on the same page she writes, "We should strive to reach the Horeb height where God is revealed; and the corner-stone of all spiritual building is purity." More and more, the Christ, Truth, turned my thought away from the body to the real and spiritually perfect, to that which is good. I was healed.
