They Can't Hurt
One day, as my mother was weeding, she got many mosquito bites. When she came in she got cleaned up. She didn't really think too much about it until night, and then they began to itch.
That night she asked me to pray for her. In my Christian Science Sunday School I've been learning how prayer heals. So I crawled into bed and got out my Sunday School books, the Bible, and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I knew that none of God's ideas could hurt another one of God's ideas. All of His creatures do good. After all, the Bible says, "Neither death, nor life,... nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom. 8:38, 39.
I read and prayed, and I finally went to sleep knowing that my mother was perfect because God made her that way.
The next morning I got up, and Mother told me there were no mosquito bites or even marks left. She thanked me and then we glorified God. We both felt very good inside.
