I have had many healings and blessings through the application of Christian Science. I feel the deepest gratitude to God for Christ Jesus, the Exemplar, and for His wonderful revelation to Mrs. Eddy given in Science and Health, which has taught me that in every instance it is God that heals us and that we can never be separated from His loving care.

One healing of a growth in the small of my back took three years. I had occasional help from a Christian Science practitioner when there was much fear and pain to overcome. The rest of the time I prayed steadfastly on my own. It was then I started to read and reread Science and Health from cover to cover, a practice I have continued ever since. I never fail to find the book fresh, inspiring, and rewarding. Sometimes I use the Concordances for deeper study. I feel quite sure that this reading resulted in my eventual healing, when the growth opened and disappeared. My thought had been lifted out of the belief of material physicality as real into "the sunlight of Truth." Mrs. Eddy states (Science and Health, p. 162), "Christian Science brings to the body the sunlight of Truth, which invigorates and purifies."

Persistence does seem necessary sometimes before we experience a healing, but I have always found that when the healing comes, it is complete and perfect, and my understanding of Christian Science has deepened and expanded because of it. I hope others who have struggled hard and long with some difficulty will take courage and be firm in their conviction that this wonderful Science does heal when correctly applied and understood.
