One day when I was nine, I rode my bike into the neighborhood...

One day when I was nine, I rode my bike into the neighborhood park. Suddenly I saw a motorcycle coming toward me real fast. When I woke up, there were a lot of people around me, and my bike was smashed. My mother came and I asked to go home. The ambulance drivers checked to see if I had any broken bones and then said I could go with my mother.

On the way home my mother talked to me about God and about the lessons I had in Sunday School. After I got home I went to sleep on the couch. When I woke up I felt better but did not feel like going out to play, so Mother read to me from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The next day I felt all right and I went out to be with my friends. They told me they had heard I had been run over by a motorcycle but it must not be true or I would still be in bed or in a hospital. I knew God had taken care of me. I did not blame the one who hit me. Since my healing, boys no longer ride motorcycles in the park.

I am a member of The Mother Church and attend a Christian Science Sunday School.
