With love, loyalty, and gratitude to God, I ask that you print this testimony to the power of divine Love. For many years I have been a worker in the vineyard of Christian Science, with a high sense of honesty and justice for all. So I hope my sharing of this experience will be an encouragement to all who feel themselves threatened by injustice.

Many years ago after our family had moved into a new home, a note came which read: "We do not want any Negroes in the neighborhood." I said to my husband, "They must be made to know, as we must know, God never made a black man, a white man, or a brown man. He made man in His own image and likeness."

At that time my husband had to walk five blocks for the bus that took him to work. When he left, I was alone in the house with our five-year-old daughter. Even though the threatening note had been received earlier, no one came to our door except someone inquiring for a person living at another address.
