How Much Do You Care?
Do you ever ask yourself, How much do I care? How broad is my love? Do I love God supremely and my neighbor as myself? Such love, such caring, is the road to spiritual progress, the progress that alone is reliable, satisfying, and substantial.
The desire for spiritual progress is born of love for God and love for mankind. It may come when one is very young or it may come much later. It may suddenly emerge as one's chief and urgent desire or it may gradually unfold and mature in consistent spiritualization of thought and conduct.
Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes, "Individuals are consistent who, watching and praying, can 'run, and not be weary;...walk, and not faint,' who gain good rapidly and hold their position, or attain slowly and yield not to discouragement."
