"CHARITY SUFFERETH LONG, AND IS KIND"
I Corinthians 13:4
Memory plays its reruns:
"She didn't speak kindly to me."
Dear God, I am the one
in need of charity,
or this wouldn't matter to me.
When another
with loveless rebuke
or thoughtless aside
would speak to me,
may I remember
with mute humility
"love...is not puffed up."
Patient God,
I would patient be
and deal compassionately
with all who speak to me.
Keep me kind,
dear Father-Mother Love,
and unite our hearts
in oneness of Mind.
