Letters to the Press
From Christian Science Committees on Publication
Echo
Liverpool, Merseyside, England
With regard to [the writer's] reference to Christian Science in his April 15 article, your readers might like to know that there is a large and carefully verified body of evidence as to the effectiveness of Christian Science in healing "serious or life-threatening" diseases, as well as "mild and otherwise chronic" complaints.
The healing method of Christian Science is prayer based on an understanding of God and His ever-operative laws of health and harmony. The aim of this treatment is not, however, simply to restore the body to health, important though that obviously is.
