Letting the Bugle Call Be Heard

"Healing physical sickness is the smallest part of Christian Science," writes Mrs. Eddy. "It is only the bugle-call to thought and action, in the higher range of infinite goodness."^{Rudimental Divine Science, p. 2;} The "smallest part"—yes, but certainly not an unimportant part. Far from it!

And, in order for our healings to be most helpful to humanity, we need to make them known publicly. We need to share them with others so that others may benefit from the same healing Christ, Truth, which has uplifted, healed, and regenerated us.

It is evident Mrs. Eddy recognized the importance of our giving testimonies of healing publicly, for she established them as part of every Wednesday testimony meeting in Churches of Christ, Scientist. They are also a part of every issue of The Christian Science Journal, the Christian Science Sentinel, and The Herald of Christian Science. The last hundred pages of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy are testimonies written by people who were healed by reading and studying this book. And in Article VIII, Section 24, of the Manual of The Mother Church Mrs. Eddy includes an entire By-Law on the subject of testimonies.
