In a ... letter to your paper [the writer] made several statements about Christian Science which require comment.
By quoting partially, inaccurately, and out of context from the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, his letter gives a very misleading impression of the theology of Christian Science, which fully acknowledges the divinity (though not the deity) of Christ. As Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (p. 25): "The divinity of the Christ was made manifest in the humanity of Jesus."
