In gratitude to our Father-Mother God and for Mary Baker Eddy...

In gratitude to our Father-Mother God and for Mary Baker Eddy and her inspired writings, I would like to tell of a healing. Ever since my youth I had been an enthusiastic skier, in winter participating in a ski race almost every weekend. However, one Sunday morning in December, 1961, I broke a leg during training.

I was taken to the hospital by fellow skiers. The X rays showed a complicated fracture of the shinbone. The consulting doctor advised an operation, to which I consented. A short time later the doctor diagnosed an infection, which worsened. For six months I was unable to leave my bed. The bone and the flesh had deteriorated.

Finally, after one year in the hospital I was able to return home with a specially made brace on the leg. I could walk only with crutches, without putting weight on the leg. The wound was still open, and a new bandage had to be applied every day. This went on for weeks.
