The Business of Glorifying God
Business men and women may sometimes ask such questions as, "Why do I just keep grinding out this work, getting nowhere?"; "Why can't I be satisfied in my work?"; "Isn't there another job somewhere in which I could be happier and make more money?"
Christian Science shows how such dissatisfaction can be overcome, and it gives satisfying responses to such questions, allowing each person to find a true basis for happiness.
To find true satisfaction in our work it is essential to understand the relationship of God and man. Man, Christian Science explains, is the image of God, the perfect and only Mind of all creation. Since an image reflects the original, man, God's likeness, is unlimited and flawless. He reflects the completeness of Truth, the vitality of Spirit. Man is always actively employed in the divine economy because his true business is to glorify God, to serve God by being the Father's perfect expression. Christ Jesus said, "My Father worketh hitherto, and I work." John 5:17;
