Substance Can't Decay
God's creation of spiritual ideas includes the eternal continuation of true identity and all that concerns it. Spiritual ideas are never mortally born. They are imperishable and will never die. They coexist with God, divine Mind, their source and preserver. Therefore they are immutable and immortal.
Spiritual ideas and their identities express true substance—which is Spirit, God. Divine substance is perfect, incorporeal, and indestructible. It is incapable of imperfection or discord. It cannot decay or hurt, swell or shrink. It is all good, all harmonious, the essence of Truth, Love, and Life.
Healing in Christian Science, through spiritual means alone, of whatever seems to stand in need of healing confirms the fact that the eternal truths of Life and substance, comprehended, can help us now. Through Christian Science study and practice we can aspire to a growing demonstration of spiritual-mindedness. The spiritually-minded have found the only Life there is. That Life is undying, undecayable substance.
