The Hole in the Needle

How precious a thing is our ability to see! It is wonderful for people to find, through the study of Christian Science, that sight is not limited or transient and matter is not truly the medium through which one sees. God, all-seeing Mind, is the source of all man's capabilities, including his vision.

And because God is the creator and substance of all true existence, all that can be seen is actually spiritually mental. Divine Spirit is the parent Mind, and within this Mind is the infinite idea, man and the universe. This idea is God's reflection. It belongs to Him, and He sustains it in all its original beauty, outline, form, and color. Every object in Mind is forever clearly defined and identified by its originator. In the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, we read, "From the infinite elements of the one Mind emanate all form, color, quality, and quantity, and these are mental, both primarily and secondarily."^{Science and Health, p. 512;}

Keeping the spiritual facts of being in view can heal vision problems. Praying in this way overcomes suggestions that sight is a complex, chancy activity of the mortal body and must be dealt with, when impaired, either through prescription lenses or medical means.
