"Thy work shall be rewarded"
With inflation and recession, the challenge to find work and maintain a home seems great to many. When faced with such problems we can turn to the Bible for help and inspiration. One clear statement of truth can provide us with the spiritual basis for effective prayer.
Despite opposition and turmoil, the prophet Jeremiah did not hesitate to voice the truth he saw. He comforted exiled Israel with the words, "Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded." Jer. 31:16;
If a discharged worker has done his best, if he has wholeheartedly endeavored to fulfill all his obligations to his employer, can he not trustingly place his affairs in the hands of a tender, loving God who is ever mindful of His own? Indeed he can!
