I am so very grateful for the healings I have had as a result of my study of Christian Science, and I would like to tell of one.

As I grew up, it seemed I had an allergy to cats. While visiting friends or relatives who owned cats, I was subject to sneezing and difficult breathing. On two occasions, while visiting friends in a distant city, the effect of this allergy seemed so bad that I had to leave their homes and stay in a hotel to be away from their cats.

Several years later I started a business that often takes me into people's homes. Five of my first clients had cats. One afternoon as I sat with a client in her home, the effects of the allergy seemed so strong and real that I was embarrassed. When I got home, I telephoned a Christian Science practitioner, explaining how I felt. I was not only embarrassed and ill but felt I could not continue my business if this difficulty was not healed. The practitioner said she would treat me through prayer. The next day when I returned to the same client's home, there were no effects whatsoever.
