Years ago I learned of Christian Science through reading a copy of The Herald of Christian Science. I went to a practitioner to hear more about this lovely teaching.
Soon thereafter a problem came upon me. At that time I was engaged at the Opera in Berlin and was to sing the title role in Aïda under the direction of a famous conductor. On the morning of the performance I awoke very hoarse, and my family advised me to cancel, for my name would be at stake if I sang poorly. However, I telephoned the practitioner, who reminded me that I express the creative Mind, my Maker.
I weighed this thought and did not cancel.
