I am grateful for the good received through my study of Christian Science over the past thirty years. Although I have had many healings in Science, one I would like to share is a healing of apparent pneumonia. When I became ill with this condition, a Christian Science practitioner was called to help me through prayer. There was intense discomfort.
In a few days, when the situation seemed to worsen, the practitioner came to my home and sat by my bedside well into the night. I recall very vividly the spiritual truths spoken to me. I learned that I could never be separated from God for a single instant, because God is closer to me than breathing. Neither could I be bound at one time by diseased conditions under material law and free for a limited time governed by the law of Spirit. There can never be two laws that govern man—only one, the ever-present law of harmony and freedom, God's law.
As I pondered these truths, I fell asleep. When I woke, all pain and difficulty in breathing had disappeared, and I was well.
