Several years ago I suffered an apparent heart attack

Several years ago I suffered an apparent heart attack. At the time I was concerned over several disturbing situations and fearful of the outcome. A Christian Science practitioner reassured me of my safety in God's love. He quoted from Mrs. Eddy's poem "Signs of the Heart" (Poems, p. 24):

O Love divine,
This heart of Thine
Is all I need to comfort mine.

I pondered these words. I could see that my being really isn't in matter but is the very expression of ever-present divine Love. God's love always is the only motivating force. My entire being is as safe and permanent as God. Understanding this, we can cope with any threatening situation.

I quickly responded to this heavenly inspiration, and was healed. Since then I have been completely free to enjoy a vigorous, happy life. Best of all, I am free from anxiety and enjoy the conviction that God alone is in control.

My gratitude is unbounded for the faithful, effective support of Christian Science practitioners and for Mrs. Eddy and her wonderful discovery, Christian Science.
