True Healing Is Forever

"Sickness is the schoolmaster, leading you to Christ; first to faith in Christ; next to belief in God as omnipotent; and finally to the understanding of God and man in Christian Science, whereby you learn that God is good, and in Science man is His likeness, the forever reflection of goodness. Therefore good is one and All." Rud., p. 11;

In these words in Rudimental Divine Science Mrs. Eddy brings out an essential aspect of Christian Science healing—its revelation of man's eternal soundness, his true being as "the forever reflection of goodness."

It is natural for the sick to want to be healed and to be pleased when they are. But we all need far more than physical health and mental stability. However much we desire to go about our jobs and recreation sound in mind and body, as normal human beings, we have, nevertheless, a deeper and ultimately more imperious need. We need to hunger for spiritual wholeness and never be really satisfied with anything less.
