Nine years ago I was introduced to Christian Science by a concerned friend. I had been suffering from various ailments, and was confined to bed most of the time. Prior to that I had visited a number of hospitals and doctors for relief from pain in my stomach. For two years many tests were made, but doctors were unable to diagnose the problem; I was heavily dependent on medicines and injections.

Unable to digest solid food, I had been on a liquid diet for nine months. The many doctors in consultation decided I had tuberculosis of the intestines and other complications. There was no relief from pain, and I was often unable to sleep at night. Suffering for so many years had left me very weak, and I could not attend to even the smallest household jobs. My husband's business was going badly, and with three small children and the cost of medicines for me, he was unable to meet our needs.

My friend gave me the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, thinking it would help me. I read the book on and off, never expecting it to heal me, but slowly and surely I was being healed. Later I was put in touch with a Christian Science practitioner, and through her kind help and the study of the Bible and the textbook I was healed of tuberculosis in fifteen days. I ate normally and digested my food. I slept well and slowly started regaining weight. Later I was able to demonstrate supply also.
