About a year after I began the study of Christian Science I learned through the following experience—and to my complete satisfaction—that Christian Science healing demonstrates the law of God as taught by Christ Jesus and recorded in the Bible.

I had left a position on a publication, where I had been writing a special type of article, to join a direct mail advertising organization. However, I still had a contract with the publication to supply them with a certain number of articles. In trying to carry out my part of the contract I found myself at cross-purposes with one of the workers and felt he had violated the contract. Angrily I decided to take certain detrimental information about this individual to the publisher and owner of the publication. However, I was delayed in contacting the publisher and put my collection of information in my office desk.

Shortly thereafter I cut the ends of two fingers deeply and found that they did not heal. Sometimes I bandaged the cuts and tried to forget them, but they still were most noticeable to me and my co-workers.
