Man's Sinless Origin

One of the fundamentals in the thinking of many religious people is the belief that "in Adam's fall we sinned all." According to this belief we must carry the stain of guilt with us throughout our earthly experience.

Although this doctrine has been rejected by many, its influence still hangs over the thoughts of a large segment of good Christian people. The elimination of this influence is important to the healing work of Christian Science.

In the Glossary of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy gives a definition of "Adam." It begins: "Error; a falsity; the belief in 'original sin,' sickness, and death." Science and Health, p. 579; The Apostle Paul wrote, "As in Adam all die. even so in Christ shall all be made alive." I Cor. 15:22;
