Christian Science is becoming more and more a way of life to me after a half century of living and demonstrating its truths. The harmonious birth of two children and the overcoming from time to time of various so-called children's diseases were accomplished with the prayerful help of Christian Science practitioners.

Many lessons have been learned through the study of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, and other writings by Mrs. Eddy. The Christian Science Hymnal has also been the source of many healings.

In the textbook are these words (p. 179): "Science can heal the sick, who are absent from their healers, as well as those present, since space is no obstacle to Mind." This was proven when we were in Hawaii, several thousand miles from home. Depression and backache had caused me much discomfort and loss of sleep. I telephoned a practitioner back home. She gave me such a positive statement of my identity with God as His perfect and upright child that I felt immediate relief and cessation of pain. Within a day I was completely free and rejoiced in the all-presence, harmony, and all-power of God evidenced in this healing.
