Lasting Beauty
"What makes a woman beautiful?" I asked a friend.
"Soap," came the facetious answer.
I smiled as I thought of all those advertisements that would have us believe that beauty is produced by cosmetics and special soaps for skin and hair. Of course, soap is a necessity for cleanliness, and cosmetics can be judiciously used for maintaining one's normal appearance in today's scene. Yet, along with clothes, jewelry, and other personal adornments, they are only temporary helps.
